24 Hour Charity Football Raises £5k for Children’s Hospital

On Wednesday 1 March the school presented the Sheffield Children’s Hospital with a cheque for £5,000. This simply incredible fund raising effort was achieved by over 80 pupils taking part in a recent 24 hour football marathon.
Pupils Sam Richards, Alex Branagan, George Butterley, Troy Ramanathan and Andrea Ciravegna joined Mr. Rodgers on a special visit to the hospital. On this occasion Cheryl Davidson, representing the Children’s Hospital Charity, was pleased to accept this magnificent donation.
Mr. Rodgers, who organised the event, commented: “I am so very proud of all the pupils who took part in our 24 hour football marathon. It was a huge undertaking and has generated a wonderful amount of money to support our much loved Children’s Hospital".
