What is BirkdalePost?
BirkdalePost is a system that the school uses to send you emails (and occasionally text messages); it also provides you with a personal online 'mailbox' where you can always view those messages from the school and, where appropriate, complete simple reply forms.
No more lost or mislaid letters, an easier way to make responses (eg about trip participation) and also the ability to access your letters from any internet-connected PC. On top of this, we are helping the environment by using less paper.
How do I access BirkdalePost?
A short message from the school will come to your registered email inbox. This will contain a link to the full "publication", which will contain any attachments and/or options for reply.
If you simply wish to access your inbox and amend any settings, click here https://birkdale.schoolpost.co.uk/ and login with your registered email address and password.
I do not know what my password is, what should I do?
You need to request a password when you first use BirkdalePost or if you forget your password. To do this, go to https://birkdale.schoolpost.co.uk/password-request and enter the email address you have registed for Birkdale Post notifications. An email will be sent to you containing a link to a webpage where you can enter a new password.
95% of the time, you will not need your password. However, for sensitive publications such as school reports or replies where we need to ensure that it is you that is replying, we require that you enter your password.
I don't appear to be receiving every notification by email - is something wrong?
It may also be possible that you have changed how you receive notifications - these can be managed within your mailbox. See 'How do I change my details' below.
I have just received a paper mailing, why?
Not everything can be sent via BirkdalePost. Sometimes we may require a cheque for a particular event so we feel it better that these are sent back with an actual paper reply slip. Some things such as a charity collection envelope cannot be sent via BirkdalePost.
How do I change my details?
The easiest way is to login to your BirkdalePost account using the method above. From here you can click on My Settings and amend many of your details including Password, Email address (which will affect your login details), Mobile number and also when you receive notifications.
Do I need to notify the School Office separately if I change my e-mail/mobile number?
No, the information recorded in BirkdalePost will automatically be transferred into our school systems for the future. (Do remember, though, to let the office know if you change your landline number or postal address).
Who can register for BirkdalePost?
Parent(s) or guardian(s) in a contractual relationship with the school.
